(Junior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) with a focus on AWS

Your mission

  • You will support the development of modern cloud-native software solutions on AWS and accompany them from conception to productive operation.
  • Together with the team, you will contribute to the further development of our AWS environment and cloud architecture.
  • In addition, you will work with the team to develop, automate, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and stable deployments.
  • The automation of infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code is just as much a part of your responsibilities as the continuous development of our platform.
  • Together with experienced engineers, DevOps, and product teams, you will work on the implementation of modern software solutions and actively participate in code reviews and architecture reviews.
  • Gradually, you will take on responsibility for individual software solutions, including stability, monitoring, and continuous improvement in the productive environment.

Your profile

  • You have a degree in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable qualification. 
  • You have already gained practical experience in the development of modern applications and have a solid technical understanding that you are continuously expanding.
  • You also have a good knowledge of Java and at least one other programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or Go and are willing to use it specifically in cloud projects.
  • You already have experience with AWS and want to actively develop your cloud expertise and apply it to challenging projects.
  • You also have experience using AWS CDK for modeling, automating, and versioning cloud infrastructures.
  • A basic understanding of software architecture, APIs, and modern development processes will help you quickly get involved in complex projects.
  • You are characterized by a willingness to learn, initiative, and a hands-on mentality, and you are not afraid to take on responsibility for small tasks and services.
